The true practitioner of the healing art understands how to treat rationally and appropriately.
The practice of the art requires of the practitioner sound senses and freedom from prejudice.
The second point of business for a practitioner of the healing art concerns the acquiring of a knowledge of the instruments intended for the cure of natural diseases, investigating the pathogenetic power of medicines.
The practitioner of the healing art pays respect to those who are his or her teachers and masters in the art. He or she also pays due respect to his or her brothers and sisters in the art and freely offers them support and learning.
The practitioner of the healing art uses his or her power to help the sick according to his or her ability and judgment and never with the intention of doing injury or wrong.
The practitioner of the healing art is true to the art and to his or her beliefs and does not undertakes procedures or practices in which he or she is not proficient and qualified.
He or she does not abuse his or her position of trust and power and abstains from inappropriate sexual or emotional contacts with patients.
The practitioner of the healing art does not divulge that which should not be publicly revealed, whether he or she learns it professionally or in any other manner.
The practitioner of the healing art who observes these principles prospers and earns good repute for his or her life and practice of the art.
